Michel Deelen is a seasoned Dutch diplomat with a background in international trade law and human rights.

He has represented the Kingdom of the Netherlands in key global institutions including the European Union, the World Bank, World Trade Organization, and ECOWAS, with postings in Afghanistan, Turkey, Geneva, Nigeria, South Sudan, and Libya.

Currently the Consul General in Lagos, Michel brings deep expertise in governance, trade and development, energy security, and cultural diplomacy.
